I think the two most Chinese achievement is paper money and gunpowder. You'll probably wonder why paper money is so important. Well without paper money we would be carrying lots or heavy trade items to purchase something. Such as going to the market carrying a giant slab of salt to trade for goods. Another that could be used as money could be any trade items or just household. Almost each person would have their own kind of money and it will take a while for the vendor to decide how much he or she wants. The vendor could also take more than the real price of the item; with that you will spend away your money much too quickly. Therefore, all this thing about carrying things around to trade, but instead change it to paper money.
Gunpowder is also a very important item; even thought the Chinese don't use it as weapon. Instead, they use it to create fireworks or firecrackers. However, gunpowder was use differently in other civilizations; despite the fact using it as fireworks we use it as weapons to defend take over or attack each other. Even though we still use fireworks to celebrate Independence Day. In fact gunpowder was why the gun was invented. Gunpowder is so dangerous it kills people, that's why people use it as weapon. That's why we also use it to protect and strengthen the military. Guns are mostly use during wars, in battles, armies, or hunting. Another thing, guns are some of the most strongest weapons created long ago. These are my opinions of why these two Chinese achievement are the most important.
During the November month, close to Thanksgiving I want to list three main things I am thankful for. They are all very useful and help me a lot. One thing I am thankful for is the love my family gives me. My Mom would cook for me to eat and my Dad will fix the cars so we do not have to go to the car fixing place. My sisters are always who I enjoy with. Even though they are younger than me they bring me lots of fun and happiness. I also enjoy time with my active and creative brothers. Even if they are not as old as me, they are more creative than me. So sometimes I join them with art.
Another thing I am thankful for is the food I receive everyday. It helps the growing of my body and is a healthy way to grow. It fills my stomach and makes me happy. Food is one of the most delicious thing your body wants. I'm as well thankful for the fun holidays too. Some of my favorite holiday is Christmas, Valentines, Independence, and many more. There are usually special occasions or gifts from relatives. So as you can see there are many reason why I am thankful for my family, food, and holidays.
Griots are West African story tellers like oral historians. West Africa use griots to record special events. Lots of griots were brought on the hajj with Mansa Musa and help spread Islam to spread the great story. To-be a griot you have to go through lots of memory experience to remember a lot of events. Griots use helping tools such as using a stories of songs to help them remember the events. A griot that recognize lots of things could be old because of years of practice. To become a griot you have to use lots of experience to memorize the events. To help a beginning griot, he or she combine short music, poetry, or history to help them recall the case.
I do not think all the information that griots say are true because they could stretch the information to make it better than before. If they didn't like some thing they could lie about it to the people who relies on them and don't know the events. Then the false evidence would be spread without knowing it wasn't true. Afterwards, future people could use the information and also make wrong decisions too. Next the process may keep on repeating again and again.
I have lots of favorite things I like during fall. One thing I like is the cold weather coming and my family sometimes have special occasions, such as snow boarding or just staying in our warm house. Some of my favorites are the beautiful trees, they are changing colors and I like to collect some colorful leaves. I also like helping my Dad rake the leaves during fall. Not only that, I like the big event of the Fresno Fair, because of all the rides, shops, fast food restaurants, and animals. My family usually spend a long time at the fair to ride most of the rides. We also visit the animals, and my little brothers and sisters were always amaze by the incredibly large size. However some farm animals such as sheep or goats are not as big as the huge cows. My Dad loves the bird section because of all the colorful feathers and behavior they have. While my sister and me enjoy all the rides the most of all.
My siblings loved Halloween the most because of all the candies they receive from trick-or-treating. I also enjoy trick-or-treating too, because of the spookiness and fright it has. I also like the candies too and some people have my favorite candies. After trick-or-treating we would sort, count, and trade our candies. These are all the events why I like fall.
